Dr Kwadwo Adusei-Asante
Dr Kwadwo Adusei-Asante is the Executive Director of Edxcellence Incorporated. He is a Senior Lecturer and Leader of the Social Science Course at the School of Arts and Humanities at ECU. He has over 15 years of international research experience in Australia, Ghana, the Netherlands, and Sri Lanka. His research focuses on communities, with three intersecting areas of research progress and development— Africa/Africans in the diaspora, international development, and outcomes measurement in the community sector. Relative to outcomes and impact measurements, Kwadwo has led and been part of teams that have developed evaluation frameworks, evaluated services, and conducted evaluation audits for a dozen community organisations in Australia. He has attracted research funding of over a million dollars. These include an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project grant with colleagues from West Australian universities on “Roads to the Future: Infrastructure and the New Development in Africa.” He has built strong international research networks and links with industry, and gained recognition as a leader in outcomes measurement evidenced by esteemed appointments as the Associate Editor of the Evaluation Journal of Australasia and to the International Organisation for Cooperation in Evaluation, representing several national evaluation groups across Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific. As an expert, Kwadwo is regularly interviewed by the media and contributes to parliamentary committees, national debates, and articles to The Conversation newspaper on relevant topics. He has published and been cited widely in his areas of research foci and has co/authored over 150 outputs in peer reviewed journals, book chapters, conference papers, research theses, opinion pieces, and project reports. Dr Adusei-Asante holds a PhD, two Master’s degrees, a Bachelor’s degree, and three Australian diplomas.
